About Me
Currently I work at Arcules and previously at Paciolan, where I lead design projects as a member of the UX team. I believe in using qualitative and quantitative evidence to support design decision making in order to avoid the inevitable debates by opinion that can happen in product development teams. I focus on bringing a user-centered approach into the product design process. I have extensive professional experience defining product development from discovery to delivery, whether designing for responsive web, mobile, iOS or Android.
Things I’m passionate about:
Collaborating with cross-functional teams
Helping people understand User-Centered Design
Using evidence to make design decisions
Patterns are my superpower, I enjoy creating design systems and understanding pattern usage
Keeping up with technology through research, conferences and hands-on projects
I am originally from Chicago (a place with real winter), and now live in Orange County, California. Everyone asks me which place I like better. I like both places; they are very different from each other - although you can’t beat the weather in Orange County. I still laugh because so many people here wear flip-flops year round and complain that it is cold when it goes below 60 degrees.
Like many UX people, I joke around about being a unicorn; I even have a stuffed rainbow unicorn at my desk. Below are some photos of things I have done, both professionally as well as some fun activities.
